The Expedition
The Mission Spiritus team plan to complete the most comprehensive study of micro and nanoplastics in the Faroe Islands to date.
In July 2025, over 10 days, the team operating from Tórshavn, plans to visit all 18 islands.
All equipment will be transported by 4×4, kayak and on foot.
A total of 36 water and sediment samples will be collected, providing critical data that will advance global understanding of plastic pollution and its far-reaching effects.
