The Expedition

A small team of expert adventurers will complete the most comprehensive study ever of micro and nanoplastics in any desert region.
A 26 day expedition through the Empty Quarter of the Oman desert covering over 1000km.
All equipment will be transported by 4x4, camel, on foot and hot air balloon.
The team wll travel in temperatures as high as 39°C.
The team will face rugged terrain and potential sandstorms that could be as strong as 50mph.
Significant life science studies on human performance in hostile environments will be completed.
52 sand samples to be collected.
